Cut on the Bold Coast
Trescott, Maine
Our workshop is in Trescott, Maine, on the Bold Coast between Cutler and Lubec, ZIP 04652. It's the high, rocky shore where fog comes in off the Bay of Fundy tides and West Quoddy Head Light marks the easternmost point of the U.S. Camps up here are built of heavy timber because they have to stand up to the weather.
We cut steel timber brackets on our own laser: king-post truss sets, knee braces, gable plates and camp signs. Most orders are standard sets. Anything else goes through a quote, a written proof with dimensions, and a deposit before we cut.
What we sell, and what we don't
Our brackets are decorative. We don't engineer connections or rate parts for loads. Your framing has to carry the roof on its own; the steel is there to look right on it. For anything about how your frame is held together, talk to a qualified builder or engineer. We don't sell lag screws or bolts; you supply your own.
